# Oracle E-Business Suite Capacity: low-privilege HTTP access exposes critical data

Oracle Capacity, a module of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.3 through 12.2.15, has a flaw in its Internal Operations component. A low-privileged user who can reach it over HTTP can read critical data, change or delete some records, and partly disrupt the service.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Confirm the Oracle Capacity module is installed in E-Business Suite and note the release, for example with `unknown` from the sources
- Check the E-Business Suite release level against `12.2.3` through `12.2.15`

## Fix

- Apply the Oracle Critical Patch Update fix for Oracle E-Business Suite Capacity; the specific patch is unknown from the sources
- Restrict HTTP access to the Capacity pages to trusted internal users until patched

## Timeline

## From the sources

Vulnerability in the Oracle Capacity product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Internal Operations). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Capacity. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Capacity accessible data as well as unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle Capacity accessible data and unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Oracle Capacity. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.6 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:L).
