# TOTOLINK X2000R router: batchupg flaw lets an authenticated user run commands

TOTOLINK X2000R firmware B20250421.1327 has an OS command injection in batchupg. A logged-in admin can upload a file with a crafted filename (/boafrm/formUploadFile), trigger /boafrm/formBuploadSetting, and the filename reaches system() unsanitised, giving command execution as the router. Found by Cisco Talos. The vendor acknowledged the report in June 2026 but no fixed firmware is published.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- firmware:X2000R affected TOTOLINK-X2000R-Gh-V1.0.0-B20250421.1327 fixed ?

## How to check

In the router web UI (Status/Upgrade page) read the firmware version; TOTOLINK-X2000R-Gh-V1.0.0-B20250421.1327 is confirmed vulnerable. Other builds are untested. Also check whether the web admin is reachable from the WAN side.

## Fix

No fixed version published as of 2026-10-23 (Talos lists no patch). Mitigate: turn off remote/WAN web administration, restrict admin to a trusted LAN, change default credentials, and watch totolink.net for new X2000R firmware.

## From the sources

A OS command injection vulnerability exists in the batchupg functionality of X2000R (version(s): TOTOLINK-X2000R-Gh-V1.0.0-B20250421.1327). A specially crafted HTTP request can lead to arbitrary code execution. An attacker can make an authenticated HTTP request to trigger this vulnerability.
