# SuiteCRM: Project Template module lets logged-in users run blind SQL injection

SuiteCRM's Project Template module builds an SQL query from the task_id and lag POST parameters without escaping them. Any logged-in user can use this blind SQL injection to read customer records, internal communications, credentials and other database contents.

## How to check

- Check the installed SuiteCRM version in the admin console or the `version.json` file at the install root.
- Look for the Project Template module (`modules/ProjectTemplates` or similar) in the install and confirm the `action_get_end_date` function is present.

## Fix

- SuiteCRM 7.x: move to `7.15.2` or later.
- SuiteCRM 8.x: move to `8.10.2` or later.

SuiteCRM is an open-source, enterprise-ready Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application. Prior to 7.15.2 and 8.10.2, the Project Template module's action_get_end_date function interpolates authenticated caller-controlled task_id and lag POST parameters directly into SQL without sanitization, parameterization, or escaping. Any authenticated user can perform blind SQL injection to read customer data, internal communications, credentials, and other database contents. This issue is fixed in versions 7.15.2 and 8.10.2.
