# ARKETEAM Protectel: low-privileged users can reach admin-only functions

ARKETEAM Protectel modules PROTECTELMAJ and BDF let a low-privileged user run some admin-only functions by sending forged direct requests to a specific endpoint. The sources do not describe what those functions do beyond that.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed PROTECTELMAJ version against `6.5.19` and the BDF version against `6.4.67`

## Fix

- PROTECTELMAJ: move to `6.5.19` or later
- BDF: move to `6.4.67` or later

## Timeline

- 2026-10-30T12:30:22+00:00 nvd https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2025-68392
