# An authentication bypass in the API component of Ivanti Endpoint Manager Mobile 12.5.0.0 and prior allows attackers…

Ivanti Endpoint Manager Mobile (EPMM) has an authentication bypass in its API component that lets an unauthenticated attacker reach protected resources with crafted requests. CISA lists it as actively exploited in the wild.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Ivanti Endpoint Manager Mobile (EPMM) affected ? fixed ?
- vendor:ivanti endpoint manager mobile affected < 11.12.0.5 fixed 11.12.0.5
- vendor:ivanti endpoint manager mobile affected >= 12.3.0.0, < 12.3.0.2 fixed 12.3.0.2
- vendor:ivanti endpoint manager mobile affected >= 12.4.0.0, < 12.4.0.2 fixed 12.4.0.2
- vendor:ivanti endpoint manager mobile affected = 12.5.0.0 fixed ?

## Fix

Apply the mitigations in Ivanti's vendor advisory, as CISA directs; if mitigations are unavailable, discontinue use of the product.

## From the sources

Ivanti Endpoint Manager Mobile (EPMM) contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in the API component that allows an attacker to access protected resources without proper credentials via crafted API requests. This vulnerability results from an insecure implementation of the Spring Framework open-source library.

CISA required action: Apply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable.
