# CGM CLININET: crafted query parameter lets attacker run code as root

CGM CLININET's RunCGI.pm dynamically imports a module named in a query parameter, so an attacker can load a module they control. The result is arbitrary code execution with root privileges.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:CGM CLININET affected < 2026.MS3 fixed 2026.MS3

## How to check

Check the installed CGM CLININET version against the affected range below 2026.MS3.

## Fix

Upgrade CGM CLININET to 2026.MS3 or later. Workaround: unknown

- 2026-10-23T22:12:26+00:00 analyst — CERT Polska advisory (primary, CNA) confirms all versions before 2026.MS3 affected, fixed in 2026.MS3; no CGM advisory or PoC found, no exploitation reported; no social discussion checked (disclosed hours ago). Sibling CVEs in same advisory (30045/46/52/53/54, 58403) are NOT fixed in 2026.MS3.

## From the sources

CGM CLININET is vulnerable to Code Injection in the RunCGI.pm component, which dynamically imports the module specified as a query parameter and executes code from untrusted data provided by the user. An attacker from adjacent network can supply a crafted query parameter to have an attacker-controlled module imported which results in arbitrary code execution with root privileges.

This issue was fixed in version 2026.MS3
