# An HTTP Request Tunneling vulnerability found in Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows for versions May 2023 Patch 3 and…

Qlik Sense has an HTTP tunneling flaw that lets an unauthenticated attacker smuggle requests through it to the backend server. Per the sources, an attacker can escalate privileges and run HTTP requests on the server hosting the software, and CISA lists it as exploited in the wild, including ransomware use.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Qlik Sense affected ? fixed ?
- vendor:qlik sense affected = august_2022 fixed ?
- vendor:qlik sense affected = february_2023 fixed ?
- vendor:qlik sense affected = may_2023 fixed ?
- vendor:qlik sense affected = november_2022 fixed ?

## Fix

Apply the vendor remediation for Qlik Sense per Qlik's advisory, or discontinue use of the product if no remediation is available (CISA required action). Affected and fixed versions: unknown.

## From the sources

An HTTP Request Tunneling vulnerability found in Qlik Sense Enterprise for Windows for versions May 2023 Patch 3 and earlier, February 2023 Patch 7 and earlier, November 2022 Patch 10 and earlier, and August 2022 Patch 12 and earlier allows a remote attacker to elevate their privilege by tunneling HTTP requests in the raw HTTP request. This allows them to send requests that get executed by the backend server hosting the repository application. This is fixed in August 2023 IR, May 2023 Patch 4, February 2023 Patch 8, November 2022 Patch 11, and August 2022 Patch 13.
