# IBM Cloud Pak System: cross-site scripting in web UI exposes sessions

IBM Cloud Pak System versions 2.3.6.0 and 2.3.6.1 let a user embed arbitrary JavaScript into the web UI. An attacker can use this to alter pages and potentially capture credentials within a logged-in user's trusted session.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## How to check

- Check the installed Cloud Pak System version in the appliance console; unknown whether the sources give a specific command.

## Fix

- Move to a fixed IBM Cloud Pak System release; the sources do not name the fixed version, so check the IBM security bulletin for CVE-2023-38375.

## Timeline
