# Insufficient data validation in Mojo in Google Chrome prior to 105.0.5195.102 allowed a remote attacker who had…

Chromium's Mojo inter-process communication layer does not validate some data properly. A remote attacker who has already compromised the renderer process can escape the browser sandbox using a crafted HTML page.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Google Chromium Mojo affected ? fixed ?
- vendor:google chrome affected < 105.0.5195.102 fixed 105.0.5195.102
- vendor:fedoraproject fedora affected = 37 fixed ?

## How to check

Check the installed browser version against the vendor's fixed release for CVE-2022-3075; unknown which exact version the sources list as fixed.

## Fix

Update Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera and other Chromium-based browsers to the vendor's patched release.

## From the sources

Google Chromium Mojo contains an insufficient data validation vulnerability that allows a remote attacker, who has compromised the renderer process, to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted HTML page. This vulnerability could affect multiple web browsers that utilize Chromium, including, but not limited to, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Opera.

CISA required action: Apply updates per vendor instructions.
