# Insufficient validation of untrusted input in Intents in Google Chrome on Android prior to 104.0.5112.101 allowed a…

A flaw in how Chromium's Intents feature validates untrusted input lets a malicious web page trigger unintended behavior in the browser. Attackers have exploited it in the wild, per CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Google Chromium Intents affected ? fixed ?
- vendor:google chrome affected < 104.0.5112.101 fixed 104.0.5112.101
- vendor:fedoraproject fedora affected = 37 fixed ?
- vendor:google chrome affected < 104.0.5112.102 fixed 104.0.5112.102

## How to check

Check the installed browser version (for Chrome, chrome://settings/help; for Edge or Opera, their About pages) and compare it to the fixed release in the vendor advisory.

## Fix

Update Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera and other Chromium browsers to the latest version per vendor instructions.

## From the sources

Google Chromium Intents contains an insufficient validation of untrusted input vulnerability that allows a remote attacker to browse to a malicious website via a crafted HTML page. This vulnerability could affect multiple web browsers that utilize Chromium, including, but not limited to, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Opera.

CISA required action: Apply updates per vendor instructions.
