# Mozilla Firefox: Mozilla Firefox Use-After-Free Vulnerability

Mozilla Firefox has a use-after-free bug in its WebGPU IPC framework. An attacker who gets a user to load a malicious page can run arbitrary code in the browser.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Mozilla Firefox affected ? fixed ?

## How to check

Open Firefox and check the version under Help > About Firefox, then compare it with the fixed version in Mozilla's advisory (fixed version unknown from sources).

## Fix

Update Firefox to a version newer than the fixed release listed in Mozilla's security advisory for CVE-2022-26486 (exact version unknown from sources).
If updates are managed centrally, deploy the vendor update to all endpoints.
