# Google Chromium V8: Google Chromium V8 Memory Corruption Vulnerability

A bug in Chromium's V8 JavaScript engine lets the internal TheHole value leak into script code through JSON.stringify, which corrupts memory. An attacker who gets a page to run script can use that memory corruption to attempt code execution in the browser.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Google Chromium V8 affected ? fixed ?

## How to check

Check the Chrome, Edge or Opera version in the browser's about page and compare it with the fixed release in the vendor advisory.

## Fix

Update Chrome, Edge, Opera or other Chromium-based browsers to a release that includes the V8 fix, as CISA requires per vendor instructions.
