# ImageMagick ImageMagick: ImageMagick Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) Vulnerability

ImageMagick, an image processing library and command-line tool, has a flaw where a crafted image makes it send requests to addresses the attacker chooses. An attacker can use a server that processes uploaded images to reach internal services or fetch data they could not reach directly.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:ImageMagick ImageMagick affected ? fixed ?

## Fix

Upgrade ImageMagick to a release that includes the vendor fix for CVE-2016-3718 (the fixed version is not named in the sources); CISA says to apply updates per vendor instructions.

## From the sources

ImageMagick contains an unspecified vulnerability that allows attackers to perform server-side request forgery (SSRF) via a crafted image.

CISA required action: Apply updates per vendor instructions.
