# Mozilla Firefox: Mozilla Firefox Information Disclosure Vulnerability

Firefox does not initialize memory for SVG zoom event fields, so a crafted web page can read uninitialized data from the browser process memory. An attacker gets sensitive information from memory, not code execution.

_Summary, check and fix written by a model from the sources; labelled as such._

## Affected

- vendor:Mozilla Firefox affected ? fixed ?

## Fix

Update Firefox to a release that includes the Mozilla fix for CVE-2013-1675; the exact fixed version is not stated in the sources.
CISA's required action is to apply the vendor updates.

## From the sources

Mozilla Firefox before 21.0, Firefox ESR 17.x before 17.0.6, Thunderbird before 17.0.6, and Thunderbird ESR 17.x before 17.0.6 do not properly initialize data structures for the nsDOMSVGZoomEvent::mPreviousScale and nsDOMSVGZoomEvent::mNewScale functions, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information from process memory via a crafted web site.
